Offered Services
MS Math Pre-Fundamentals $550/Semester
This is a dynamic enrichment course aimed at students with a 5th/6th grade math skills. This course strengthens essential mathematical skills while bridging the gap between arithmetic and abstract algebraic concepts, preparing students for success in high level math courses. Topics such as number patterns, percents, algebraic expressions and equations, ratios and rates, geometry, and statistics, students develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts with real-world applications. Students will extend their arithmetic knowledge to include fractions and decimals, explore fundamental algebraic concepts like variables and one-step equations, and apply them in practical contexts. This fee includes access to an IXL account and online enrichment content to supplement learning both in and out of the classroom.
MS Math Fundamentals
$550/Semester
This is a comprehensive enrichment course aimed at students with a 6th/7th grade math level. It will strengthen foundational mathematics skills essential for taking Pre-Algebra (8th Grade Math). Students will sharpen their skills through exploration of topics such as number patterns, percents, algebraic expressions and equations, ratios and rates, geometry, and statistics. Moreover, students delve deeper into fractions, mastering all operations with rational numbers and extending their understanding to solve more complex linear equations. Application of percent, scale drawings, and area/volume calculations are also explored and applied to the real world. This fee includes access to an IXL account and online enrichment content to supplement learning both in and out of the classroom.
Morning Cafe
$195/Semester
Morning Cafe is a low-key, supervised setting for students before the school day starts. They can complete any homework, study, or socialize in a relaxed environment. It runs M - Th and lasts for the whole Fall semester.
MS Pre-Algebra
$550/Semester
This enrichment course is designed for students at a 7th/8th grade math level. It will strengthen students' algebraic skills while preparing them for success in Algebra 1. Beginning with integers, variables, and basic equations, students develop a solid foundation in algebraic problem-solving techniques, including the distributive property and solving equations with variables on both sides. As the course progresses, students expand their skills to encompass functions and graphing, learning to apply linear equations to solve and graph real-world problems involving rate of change. Additionally, students study more advanced functions, such as quadratic functions. The topics of geometry, statistics and probability will also be explored. This fee includes access to an IXL account and online enrichment content to supplement learning both in and out of the classroom.
Exploring HS Geometry & Algebra
$550/Semester
Students explore a wide array of topics, including the language and logic of geometry, parallelism, congruent triangles, triangle inequalities, quadrilaterals, similarity, right triangles, circles, geometric constructions, area of plane figures, solid geometry, coordinate geometry, and transformational geometry. Throughout the course, students engage in making conjectures about geometric situations and prove their conclusions. Students will review solving multi-step equations, functions with a constant rate of change, and more advanced functions like quadratics. This fee includes access to an IXL account and online enrichment content to supplement learning both in and out of the classroom.
Project Based Learning (PBL)
$550/Semester
Project-Based Learning (PBL) immerses young STEM students in hands-on, collaborative projects that tackle competitive, real-world challenges. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students integrate science, technology, engineering, and software to develop innovative solutions to quarterly projects. Emphasizing critical thinking, research, and technical skills, the course fosters teamwork, effective communication, and practical application of knowledge. Students will present their projects and findings in a competition against other classmates. Key topics: hands on learning, competitive and collaborative learning environment, Interdisciplinary (electrical, mechanical, software), technical skills, mentorship & feedback, assessment
MS Earth Science
$550/Semester
The Middle School Earth Science course offers a comprehensive exploration of geological history, global landforms, oceanic and atmospheric phenomena, and recent astronomical discoveries, fostering a lifelong passion for learning. Scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, this two-semester course (Fall/Spring) has the flexibility for newcomers to join at any time. Through a blend of reading, research, observation, experimentation, discussion, and practical application, students engage deeply with topics including scientific measurement methods, the Celestial Sphere, Atmosphere, Lithosphere, and Hydrosphere, complemented by regular labs and hands-on demonstrations.
MS Life Science
$550/Semester
This middle school survey course, held on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, ignites students’ curiosity by exploring the interconnectedness and diversity of the living world. It emphasizes biological and environmental literacy, authentic laboratory experiences, critical evaluation of claims, participation in citizen science, and designing studies based on inquiry. The curriculum includes foundational scientific methods and covers topics such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, and anatomy. Labs and hands-on demonstrations are integral to the learning experience Newcomers are welcome to join at any point during the course.
MS Physical Science $550/Semester
This two-day course (M/W) introduces students to fundamental concepts across physics, chemistry, and astronomy. Topics covered include the properties of matter, periodic table patterns, chemical reactions, forces of motion, machines, heat, electricity, magnetism, and fluid dynamics.Throughout the course, we will be integrating content with scientific and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts. Emphasizing real-world applications, students develop comprehensive knowledge, master scientific methods, and cultivate transferable skills essential for future studies. Labs and hands-on demonstrations are integral to the curriculum, structured over two semesters (Fall/Spring), with open enrollment for newcomers throughout.
